Go Baby Go!

Nestlé Canada continues to offer useful and practical knowledge to its customers. This month, with help from internet : intelligence, Nestlé Canada has launched a new Nestlé Baby website. Members of the internet : intelligence technical team provided a highly focused technical review and quality assurance work on both the English and French versions of the new iteration. The end result is a tremendously useful site where new parents and parents-to-be can find resources on pregnancy, infant nutrition and more!

You Should Know...

You can make a few simple changes to your website that will quickly maximize usability. Here are ten of them:

1. No tiny fonts

2. Easy-to-find product/service/company info

3. No "child" or pop-up windows

4. Use common versions of plug-ins (Flash, PDF, etc.)

5. Make hyperlinks easy-to-see (i.e. use contrasting colour)

6. Ensure each page in your site has a unique URL

7. Provide log in/password area (if applicable) on your home page

8. Use rich media (e.g. streaming video, audio or animations) strategically, to serve a specific business purpose

9. No more than 5 or 6 (maximum!) calls-to-action (interactive elements) per web page

10. Use light-coloured backgrounds, with dark typefaces
